MMJ, {Medical MariJuana} has become a hot topic of late, with many supporters pointing out the obvious value behind this divine herb; whereas detracters doubt the benefit and would like to believe that marijuana's medicinal value is overstated and simply a tool for pro-pot politics. However, it is just unjust to reject the pleas of others who are truly in pain, and rejection truly is what doing nothing is. Many opponents of a sensible drug policy for marijuana also shun it's medicinal purposes in the same breath that they utter nonsense about this "devil's narcotic" that is ruining their youth and taking braincells with every puff.
What we need to realize is this, regardless of your opinion on recreational use, MMJ is a different case entirely. We do we need to continue to flood our streets with dangerous pharmacueticals, with highly untested side effects; actually most of the intended effects are pretty deadly in themselves, with addiction ranging from the expected withdrawal danger all the way up to overdosing and actual "fiend" behavior.
Why do we need all these drugs, created in labs, stamped out in factories and then pushed from behind the counter...? Because they make some people feel better, some of the time.
Why is pot illegal when it is of the earliest used drug, with years and years of clearly documented effects?
why?
Don't take my word on its usefulness.
